S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, The Centre has 15 acre lush green campus. The Centre with a current strength of nearly 30 faculties, more than 15 post-doctoral research staff and more than 120 Ph. D students has research activities (Theoretical, Computational and Experimental) in certain focused areas of Physical, Chemical and Mathematical sciences. In recent years the Centre has made significant investment to upgrade its experimental research facilities and computational facilities (visit our website www.bose.res.in). The Centre runs a residential Post M.Sc. and Post B.Sc. Research Programme.

A. Reader/ Associate Professor :
No of Post : 05 posts, in (a) Theoretical Sciences. (b) Materials Physics / Chemistry / Condensed Mater Physics including nanomaterials (c) Chemical Physics/ Physical Chemistry / Macromolecular Sciences / Molecular Biology. (d) Astrophysics / Cosmology.
Essential Qualification & Experience : The prescribed Essential Qualifications/ Experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
Age Limit : Maximum limit is 45 years as on 15.11.2010.
Scale of Pay For Reader : PB 3 RS. 15,600 to 39,100 + Grade Pay of RS. 7,600/- per month.
Scale of Pay For Associate Professor : PB 4 RS. 37,400 to 67,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700/- per month.
B. Professor :
No of Post : 03 posts, in (a) Theoretical Sciences. (b) Materials Physics / Chemistry / Condensed Mater Physics including nanomaterials (c) Chemical Physics/ Physical Chemistry / Macromolecular Sciences / Molecular Biology. (d) Astrophysics / Cosmology.
Essential Qualification & Experience : The prescribed Essential Qualifications/ Experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
Age Limit : Maximum limit is 50 years as on 15.11.2010.
Scale of Pay : PB 4 RS. 37,400 to 67,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8,900/- per month.
