The Indian Navy, Applications are invited from unmarried candidates who fulfill eligibility condition of Nationality as laid down by the Government of India for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Technical [Engineering (E) & Electrical (L)] Branches of the Indian Navy for course commencing July 2011.

Technical course :

Essential Qualification & Experience : B.E/ B.Tech. (or equivalent) in Mechanical/ Marine/ Automotive/ Mechtronics/ Industrial & Production/ Metallurgy/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace/ Conrol/ Electrical/ Elecronics/ tele-Communication/ Instrumentation/ Insrumentation and Control/ Electronics and Instrumentation/ Elecronics and Communication/ Power Engineering/ Control System Engineering/ Power Electronics/ Computer Science Engg.  from a institution recognised by AICTE with minimum 60% marks :
Scale of Pay : Sub Lieutenant PB-3 RS. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay/Service Pay RS. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Between 19 & 1/2 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 July 1986 to 01 January 1992; both dates inclusive) for Technical (GS) and Submarine Cadre (Engineering & Electrical),  and 21 to 25 years for Naval Architecture Cadre  i.e 02 July 1986 to 01 July 1990.

Short Service Commission (SSC) : It is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.
