Sashastra Seema Bal, SSB, Applications are invited from male Indian citizens who fulfill the following eligibility criterion for filling up the vacancies in the rank of Constable Driver, The post is temporary but likely to become permanent. The number of vacancies is subject to change. Constable Driver : No of Post : 524 posts (SC – 151, ST – 27, OBC – 99, Gen -198 , Ex -Servicemen-49), Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board / university. (ii) Must possess valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License. Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 in the grade pay of Rs. 2000/- and other allowances admissible to Central Govt. employees. Age Limit : (i) 18 to 28 years (Cut off date for age will be 1st August,2010) (ii) Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST by 5 years and 3 years for OBC. (iii) The upper age relaxation for Government servants is upto 35 Years. (iv) The relaxation in upper age limit of 5 years shall also be admissible to the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of J&K during the period from 1.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
